BCU (UKCC) Level 1 Course
@ Spinnaker Lake Sailing Club in Ringwood on the 29, 30 October & 12, 13 November 2011.

There are 12 places available in total and the course cost is £120 (50% funding may be available for Ducks Members) including registration. Attendees must have all prerequisites (2 Star and FSRT)

1 Star Course Synopsis
The course is aimed at the novice paddler and is designed to give them the basics for paddling in a safe manner within a group.
The student will be shown how to propel and steer the Kayak/Canoe  and be able to escape in the event of a capsize and then how to re enter the boat with the help of a more experienced paddler.
The aim is to give the student the confidence to enjoy  the experience .

BCU 2 Star Award Kayak module

2 Star Course Synopsis
This course is designed to take the novice paddler and give them the core skills to be able to paddle the Kayak /Canoe  with a degree of finesse and equip them for more advanced trips on any type of water. Be that Sea , Lake or River .
It will also give them the skill to undertake a rescue  as an individual and more importantly as part of a team.

Foundation Safety Rescue training (FSRT)
August 6th (single day course possible) and another full course 20th and 21st..

FSRT Course Synopsis
This course is designed to give the paddler the main rescue skills to be able to lead a rescue as part of any group in an emergency .
